Advanced Level 6 Diploma in Integrative Play and Creative Therapy
This is a 1 year course
This advanced level diploma will equip students to work with complex emotional needs of children and young people. Integrating the skills from play and creative therapy models it will focus on working with trauma and self-harming behaviours from a relational therapy basis. It will also bring in family systems, and the idea of working more holistically with the systems around the child/young person as part of the therapeutic work. This is an experiential skills-based course, aimed at qualified counsellors and Therapists looking to expand their skills and experience to work with children, young people and families.
The training will cover the following topics:
Non-violence resistance therapy Family group and systemic therapy Family scripts and genograms Regulation and containment Working with parts Working with traumatised clients Attachment-based therapies Working with self-harming behaviours Relational approach to therapy |
Our level 6 diploma is accredited through the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists (NCIP). Running over one year, 12 week day sessions once a month and 3 Saturdays over the course of the year. 100 clinical hour placement with us and 20 hours of group supervision.
There are a couple of written assignments as part of the assessment for the training
The total cost for the 1 year training is £1500 but bursary funding is available.
